Search Fields and OCV Roster Behavior

Instead, the OCV/List.js widget searches the visible roster item title and content. That matters because the quickest search is usually a name, but the same box may also match an arresting agency abbreviation such as LPSO, RPD, GPD, LSP, LATECH, GSUPD, or P&P if that text appears in an entry.

Because the roster does not expose a date-of-birth field, do not assume a match is certain based on name alone. Use the age, sex, physical descriptors, booking date, arresting agency, charge text, and inmate ID together before taking the next step.

The inspected OCV feed gives a stronger field inventory than a generic roster description. It showed the public fields below on sampled Lincoln Parish Detention Center entries.
